London Cool | Biker Capsule
Collection | Visual Identity by BMD Design
Mulberry joined forces with British-American model Georgia May Jagger
to create a rock'n'roll inspired capsule collection that blends luxury
heritage with a rebellious biker aesthetic. Bruno Michaud (BMD Design)
was commissioned to bring this vision to life, focusing on the "London
Cool" theme and an "Easy Rider" spirit to feature essentials designed
for the modern woman with a sharp, graphic edge.
Tasked with creating the visual identity for this collaboration, I
developed under the BMD
Design studio signature three minimalist biker compositions
centered around Mulberry's iconic animals: the Fox, the Owl, and the
Bee. These hand-drawn emblems combine technical mechanical
elements—such as crossed wrenches and lightning bolts—with delicate
organic details like roses and refined typography, a hallmark of my
studio's aesthetic.
These designs were specifically engineered to be applied across the
collection's flagship pieces, including embroidered smooth lambskin
leather jackets, printed silk scarves, and zipped chain-leather bags.
The final graphics produced by BMD Design reflect a perfect balance
between discreet elegance and the raw, vintage energy of motorcycle
culture.
